The Shoppe

Wow, what a ride it's been. Three years ago I started a sign business using pallet boards and any other scrap wood we had and it's been quite a journey!! I never expected it to be this successful and to have it involve my husband so much. He convinced me to set up a little gift shop in our garage and that's where Hummingbird Hems and Home Decor evolved.  Here are a few pictures of the Shoppe, this is before we finished the walls.

Last fall, 2015, we finished the walls and what a difference it made. I love how it turned out and it was from repurposed wood from the remodel to our house.

CarBage Sacks

Been awhile since I've posted any pictures. I've been so busy with my sewing that the posting has been put on the back burner. These are the latest CarBage Sacks with more pictures to be added. Most of the wildlife ones are already sold and no more will be made with the prints.

Gift or Storage Bags

Gift Bags
I found this idea at http://www.zaaberry.blogspot.com/ and used Stampin Up fabrics and embellishments. Very easy to make and fun to give with a gift inside.  Great for storing homemade cards in.

Dish Kozy

I found this pattern  on the internet and had to try it. These are so easy and quick to make. The pattern was for a 17" square but I needed a bigger one and did 20" so that a rectangle dish will fit in it. Love how they turned out.

Doggie Totes

These are dog food bags that I made into totes. These bags had such awesome pictures on them that I had to do something with them. I will also have cat and bird bags and whatever else is brought to me. Each bag sells for $5, which the money will go to the Animal Shelter. I will be displaying them at the Animal Shelter for anyone to purchase.

Market Skirts

I am hooked on these market skirts by "Made"  http://www.dana-made-it.com/2008/07/tutorial-market-skirt.html. They are so easy to make and fast when you do more than one at a time. I've been making them for littlest granddaughter. Here's a few of the ones I've made.
